About the role
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Zeal. You will be responsible for ensuring that all payment acquirers that are signed up have their POS terminals activated with Zeal and are yielding maximum conversion rates. You will be managing Customer Success and Onboarding teams to ensure seamless retailers (merchant ID) and (terminal ID) transfers to Zeal from the payment acquirer. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring and troubleshooting terminal integration issues, as well as providing after-sales support.

As the Operations Manager at Zeal, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for payment acquirers post-launch, managing relationships and addressing concerns and issues.
  • Collaborating with the product team to ensure that all Zeal software is integrated and functioning properly with the payment acquirer's POS terminals.
  • Managing and developing a team of customer success and onboarding specialists that ensure all terminals integrated with Zeal are working properly.
  • Working with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to increase transaction volumes through Zeal.
  • Tracking and analyzing data to identify trends, areas of improvement, and potential issues.
  • Developing and implementing standard operating procedures for onboarding and ongoing support of retailers.
  • Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and standards.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the payments or financial technology industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of POS terminal technologies, experience in troubleshooting issues is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret data, experience in Tableau and SQL is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in project management and process improvement.
